7" or 9" Sand Scoop

Postby antiphonus » Sun Mar 12, 2017 10:48 am

adambomb, I know you looked at this a year or so ago. How have you gotten on with your 9" stealth? If you had your druthers and could do it again, would you make the same choice or go with 7? Does the 9" get heavy -- I imagine I will be doing some dry sand searching also and some folks online have suggested 9" is only good in the water. Thoughts?

Feels a bit solipsistic, my pottering about these empty halls all alone; I'm beginning to be frightened by the echo of my own footfalls. But I will continue to wander in case someone comes.

I layed out for a Sunspot Stealth 9" scoop today on the advice of adambomb. Went with the carbon fiber handle too, so that's me eating ramen for a month at least! Can't wait to try it out!

After talking to adambomb, I went with the 9", which is on its way now. I went for the carbon fiber handle also: spendy, but I believe in having the right tools for the job when possible, and the scoop comes with a lifetime guarantee...

I went with wood because of the money but I do wish I would of went with the carbon. Definitely worth it.
